Freeform Pool with Elevated Spa
A resort-scale backyard on wooded acreage: freeform pool, stone-clad elevated spa, vanishing edge, swim-up bar beneath a rain curtain, and a full outdoor kitchen and fireplace pavilion.
The property had room to spare — the challenge was giving that openness a center. The plan organizes the whole yard around one long water composition: a freeform pool that steps from a shallow lounging shelf past a stacked-stone spa to a vanishing edge that drops toward the tree line.
The social spaces were designed with the water, not after it. Swimmers pull up to a bar beneath a curtain of falling water; cooks work a full stone kitchen with a pizza oven and fireplace under the pavilion; evenings end around fire bowls that light the water from above. Every zone reads as one build — the same stone, the same travertine, the same horizon line.
